The Beatrix Potter Gallery is in Hawkshead. The gallery shows original book illustrations by Beatrix Potter and an exhibition on her life!
The stunning 17th century Lakeland Town house is home to this wonderful gallery and the children will love it with quizzes and goodie bags. This year the exhibition will feature The Tale of Mr Jeremy Fisher and The Story of Miss Moppet, celebrating their 100th birthdays. There will also be occasional story reading for families.

I went there a couple of years ago and it was really good. I love all the Beatrix Potter books so it was interesting to see the lovely illustrations and information on one of my favourite childhood authors! |
