The South African Braai is not just a barbeque but a way of life, so why should you let that stop you when you move to the U.K!
With a couple of tips we can help you keep up that all important part of life that make us South African.
Try to think of the braai as a seasonal thing. This way you have something to look forward to when the sun does shine (no matter how rare that is). You will also not disappoint yourselve when the weather does not hold up during the winter months.
Stock up on your beer etc for when the time does come for a braai and that way you can make up for the months lost!
Invite all your non South African friends and show them how a proper barbeque is done and you will be rememebered as the barbeque king and maybe even be paid to host a braai!
If you haven't got a garden cheer up because you could alsways take the equiptment to a park and enjoy the festivities there. HOWEVER be warned that drinking in public places is against the law and offenders will face a hefty fine. So if this doesn't suit just persuade a friend or colleague with a garden to hold a braai and the terms are that you cook!
